Peace Offering Laid on Altar

Open in the reader →

If his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings, if he offers it from the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before Yahweh.

He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall throw the blood against the altar all around.

And from the sacrifice of peace offerings he shall present as a food offering to Yahweh the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails,

and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the appendage on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall remove.

And Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar, on top of the burnt offering that is on the wood that is on the fire. It is a food offering, a pleasing aroma to Yahweh.

And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offerings to Yahweh is from the flock, male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.

If he is presenting a sheep as his offering, then he shall present it before Yahweh.

He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it before the tent of meeting, and Aaron’s sons shall throw its blood against the altar all around.

And from the sacrifice of peace offerings he shall present an offering made by fire to Yahweh: its fat, the whole fat tail, which he shall remove close to the backbone, and the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails,

and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the appendage on the liver, which he shall remove with the kidneys.

The priest shall burn it on the altar as food, an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

But if his offering is a goat, then he shall present it before Yahweh.

And he shall lay his hand on its head and slaughter it before the tent of meeting, and the sons of Aaron shall throw its blood against the altar all around.

And from it he shall present his offering, a food offering to Yahweh: the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails,

and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the appendage on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall remove.

And the priest shall burn them on the altar as food, an offering made by fire for a pleasing aroma. All the fat belongs to Yahweh.

It shall be a permanent statute throughout your generations, in all your dwellings: you shall eat neither any fat nor any blood.
