The hope of this translation is to create more critical thought and more open discussion of God's Word — to invite scholars, pastors, lay readers, and seekers alike into the honest, auditable, shared work of understanding what scripture says and why.

Scripture belongs to the Church, and to all whom God is drawing to Himself. We offer this work in that spirit.
