Project information & FAQs

About People’s Bible

People’s Bible is the free online reader and app for People’s Open Bible, an open Bible translation with public source records and revision history. It is a Cartha project.

Is People’s Bible free?

You can read on the web or use the free iOS and Android apps. The translation is released under CC BY 4.0; follow the attribution requirements when sharing or adapting it, and check individual source and media licenses.

How is AI used?

The project uses AI-assisted translation alongside original-language source texts and earlier translations. The methodology explains the process. A generated draft is not a guarantee of accuracy; compare the evidence and report problems.

What has been reviewed, and what can change?

This is an evolving translation. Read the current progress and public revision history for the published status. Availability of a verse does not by itself establish independent human review.

Who is responsible, and how can I contribute?

People’s Open Bible is operated by Cartha. See the company information and public contribution history. To propose a correction, include the passage, source evidence, and suggested wording in a GitHub issue.
